A feast pack arrives with the BBQ, burgers, chicken skewers, wings and brioche buns, ready for the coals. When the fire dies down, the campfire kit takes over, kindling and logs laid out, s'mores for whoever wants one.
By day, five kilometres of trails lead straight from the lodge door, through the woodland and along the Shannon Blueway. One evening, everyone eats out, two courses, two adults and two kids, so nobody has to cook that night either.

The Curious Gin Escape, For four

A Drumshanbo Gunpowder gin hamper meets you at the lodge door, poured on the deck your first evening. The next day, four distillery experience tickets take you into how it's actually made, five minutes from the gate.
Between the two, the woodland is yours, trails through the forest, late checkout so the last morning isn't rushed. Add a cocktail masterclass if the group wants the full night of it.
